Creamed Chipped Beef On Toast
Ingredients
- 1/2 can chipped beef
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup tomato catsup
- Paprika to taste
- Butter for toast
- Toast slices
Method
- 1 Moisten cornstarch with a small amount of cold water.
- 2 Heat milk in a saucepan, then whisk in the cornstarch mixture.
- 3 Add paprika and stir constantly until the sauce thickens.
- 4 Stir in catsup and the chipped beef, heating until thoroughly warm.
- 5 Serve the mixture over hot buttered toast.
