Creamed Cauliflower On Toast
Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked cauliflower
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/6 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp flour
- 3 slices toasted bread
Method
- 1 Break cauliflower into florets and season with half the salt and pepper.
- 2 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook until frothy and smooth.
- 3 Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and boils.
- 4 Stir in remaining salt, pepper, and cauliflower. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- 5 Serve hot over slices of toasted bread.
