Creamed Cauliflower On Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked cauliflower
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/6 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp flour
  • 3 slices toasted bread

Method

  1. 1 Break cauliflower into florets and season with half the salt and pepper.
  2. 2 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook until frothy and smooth.
  3. 3 Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and boils.
  4. 4 Stir in remaining salt, pepper, and cauliflower. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. 5 Serve hot over slices of toasted bread.
