Cream Sauce Baked Oyster Pie
Ingredients
- 1 lb butter
- 1 lb flour
- ½ cup water
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup cream or milk
- 1 pint oysters
Method
- 1 Mix 1 lb flour, 1 lb butter, and ½ cup water to form a crust dough.
- 2 Melt 1 tbsp butter, whisk in 2 tbsp flour, then add 1 cup cream or milk to make a sauce.
- 3 Add 1 pint oysters to the sauce and heat through.
- 4 Line a pie dish with crust, fill with oyster mixture, cover with top crust, and bake until golden.
