Cream Sauce Asparagus
Ingredients
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 1 pint sweet cream
- 1 tbsp flour
- salt to taste
- cold cream for slurry
Method
- 1 Thoroughly wash asparagus, tie in small bunches, and boil in water until perfectly tender.
- 2 Drain thoroughly, untie the bunches, and arrange the stalks uniformly on a hot plate.
- 3 Heat the pint of sweet cream to the boiling point in a separate saucepan.
- 4 Rub the flour smooth with a little cold cream, stir into the hot cream with salt, and pour over the asparagus.
