Cream Baked Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 young chicken, cut up
- ½ cup flour
- 1½ tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1½ cups cream, sweet or sour
Method
- 1 Sprinkle chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour.
- 2 Melt butter in a skillet and fry chicken until golden brown on all sides.
- 3 Place chicken in a casserole dish and pour cream over it.
- 4 Cover and bake in a 350°F oven for 2 hours.
- 5 Serve with gravy made from the pan drippings left after frying.
