Cranberry Pie With Pastry Strips

- Cranberries
- Water
- Sugar
- Pie pastry
Method
- 1 Stew cranberries in just enough water to cover until they burst.
- 2 Mash and smooth the cranberries, then sweeten well.
- 3 Turn the mixture into a pie plate lined with pastry.
- 4 Lay strips of pastry across the top of the pie.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until golden.
