Cornstarch Vanilla Puffs
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 4 egg whites
Method
- 1 Cream 1/2 cup butter with 1 cup sugar. Add 4 beaten egg yolks and 1 tsp vanilla.
- 2 Sift in 1 cup cornstarch and 2 tsp baking powder, alternating with 4 stiffly beaten egg whites.
- 3 Bake in buttered gem pans in a quick oven (425°F) until golden.
- 4 Serve warm with any preferred sauce.
