Cornstarch Thickened Tomato Milk Soup
Ingredients
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp cold water
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 small onion
- 1 quart milk
Method
- 1 Combine tomatoes and 1/2 cup water in a pot; boil for 30 minutes until tomatoes are well broken down.
- 2 Dissolve cornstarch in 1 tbsp cold water, then stir into the tomato mixture.
- 3 Season with salt, pepper, and half a small onion.
- 4 Add 1 quart milk, bring to a boil while stirring constantly to prevent burning.
