Cornmeal Parker House Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 cup bread flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons fat
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Method
- 1 Mix and sift dry ingredients (flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, sugar) and cut in the fat.
- 2 Beat the egg and add the milk.
- 3 Combine the liquid mixture with the dry ingredients.
- 4 Shape dough into Parker House rolls.
- 5 Bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 12 to 15 minutes.
