Cornmeal Pancakes With Corn Syrup
Ingredients
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 egg
- 1 pint milk
- 1 tablespoon fat
Method
- 1 Cook cornmeal and milk in a double boiler for 10 minutes.
- 2 Sift the dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking powder) together.
- 3 Combine the cooked cornmeal mixture, dry ingredients, corn syrup, beaten egg yolks, fat, and beaten egg whites.
