Cornmeal Mush Baked Spoon Bread
Ingredients
- 1 pint cornmeal mush
- 5 eggs
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
Method
- 1 Stir butter and salt into the warm cornmeal mush.
- 2 Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
- 3 Add eggs, milk, and baking powder; mix well.
- 4 Bake in a greased dish until set and golden.
- 5 Serve directly from the baking dish with a spoon.
