Corn Okra And Tomato Stew
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Crisco
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 ears corn
- 6 okra pods
- 6 tomatoes
- 2 cups water
Method
- 1 Cut corn from the cob and place in a saucepan. Cover with water and bring to a boil.
- 2 Scald, peel, and chop tomatoes. Slice okra into half-inch rounds.
- 3 Add tomatoes, okra, Crisco, salt, and pepper to the corn. Stir and cook until tender.
- 4 Serve hot.
