Corn Meal Rye Bread
Ingredients
- 2 cups lukewarm water
- 1 cake yeast
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 1 ½ cups rye flour
- 1 cup corn meal
- 3 cups bread flour
Method
- 1 Dissolve the yeast cake in the lukewarm water.
- 2 Add the salt, molasses, rye flour, corn meal, and bread flour. Mix thoroughly.
- 3 Let the dough rise, then shape it into loaves.
- 4 Let the shaped loaves rise again.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until done.
