Corn Flour Crusted Fried Oysters
Ingredients
- large oysters
- highly seasoned corn flour
- prepared egg
- fine bread crumbs
- hot fat for frying
Method
- 1 Inspect oysters for shell bits, then wash them thoroughly.
- 2 Roll oysters in seasoned corn flour and let dry for 10 minutes.
- 3 Dip oysters in egg, then roll in fine bread crumbs.
- 4 Let breaded oysters stand aside to dry for another 10 minutes.
- 5 Fry 3-4 oysters at a time in hot fat (approx 370°F) until golden brown.
