Corn Flour Crusted Fried Oysters

Ingredients

  • large oysters
  • highly seasoned corn flour
  • prepared egg
  • fine bread crumbs
  • hot fat for frying

Method

  1. 1 Inspect oysters for shell bits, then wash them thoroughly.
  2. 2 Roll oysters in seasoned corn flour and let dry for 10 minutes.
  3. 3 Dip oysters in egg, then roll in fine bread crumbs.
  4. 4 Let breaded oysters stand aside to dry for another 10 minutes.
  5. 5 Fry 3-4 oysters at a time in hot fat (approx 370°F) until golden brown.
