Codfish Stew With Mashed Potato Border
Ingredients
- 6 potatoes
- 2 tbsp butter
- salt and pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 1 pt codfish
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp hot milk
- onion
Method
- 1 Boil and mash potatoes. Mix in 2 tbsp butter, salt, pepper, and 1 cup milk. Pile in a circle on a round platter.
- 2 Freshen codfish and pick into small pieces.
- 3 Melt 2 tbsp butter with 1 tbsp flour. Stir in 2 tbsp hot milk and a little onion.
- 4 Add fish to saucepan and cook for 15 minutes.
- 5 Turn fish mixture into the potato circle and serve hot.
