Coconut Lemon Custard Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 1 pint milk
- grated yellow rind of 1 lemon
- 3 well-beaten eggs
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 quart cream
- 1 grated coconut
- lemon juice
Method
- 1 Heat milk in a double boiler with lemon rind and beaten eggs, stirring until thickened.
- 2 Remove from heat and stir in sugar, cream, and grated coconut.
- 3 Stir until the custard is cold, add lemon juice, and freeze.
