Coconut Lemon Custard Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 pint milk
  • grated yellow rind of 1 lemon
  • 3 well-beaten eggs
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 quart cream
  • 1 grated coconut
  • lemon juice

Method

  1. 1 Heat milk in a double boiler with lemon rind and beaten eggs, stirring until thickened.
  2. 2 Remove from heat and stir in sugar, cream, and grated coconut.
  3. 3 Stir until the custard is cold, add lemon juice, and freeze.
