  • 1/2 lb bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pint milk
  • 1 grated fresh coconut
  • Coconut milk
  • Sugar to taste
  • Butter for greasing dish
  • Butter for topping

Method

  1. 1 Soak the bread in the milk until soft.
  2. 2 Beat in the eggs, grated coconut, coconut milk, and sugar.
  3. 3 Pour the mixture into a buttered pie dish.
  4. 4 Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
  5. 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set and golden.
