Classic Plain Omelet
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons shortening
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 tablespoon water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Place 3 tablespoons of shortening in a frying pan and heat until smoking hot.
- 2 In a bowl, combine eggs, milk, and water. Beat thoroughly with a fork.
- 3 Pour the egg mixture into the hot pan. Cook slowly.
- 4 Season with salt and pepper, then turn, fold, and roll the omelet onto a hot platter.
