Classic Parsley Sauce For Fish

Ingredients

  • 1 handful parsley, chopped
  • 2 oz butter
  • 2 oz flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 pint water
  • 1 tbsp vinegar

Method

  1. 1 Chop the parsley and add it to a stewpan with butter, flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. 2 Moisten the mixture with water and vinegar, then stir over heat until it boils.
  3. 3 Pour the hot sauce over drained fish and serve immediately.
