Classic Cottage Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ cups flour, sifted
- ½ cup milk
- 1 heaping tablespoon butter
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Method
- 1 Beat butter and sugar together until creamy.
- 2 Add well-beaten egg yolks and mix well.
- 3 Alternately add milk and flour (mixed with baking powder) to the batter.
- 4 Gently fold in egg whites beaten to stiff peaks.
- 5 Bake for 30 minutes.
- 6 Serve hot with sauce.
