Classic Cocoa Fudge
Ingredients
- ½ cup milk
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 6 tbsp cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
- 1 Combine milk, butter, sugar, cocoa, and salt in a saucepan.
- 2 Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture begins to boil.
- 3 Reduce heat and cook slowly for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until a firm ball forms when dropped in cold water.
- 4 Remove from heat, add vanilla, and beat until the texture resembles cold molasses.
- 5 Pour into a buttered pan and let cool until firm.
- 6 Cut into squares and serve.
