Classic Apple Pie
Ingredients
- 1 pound flour
- ½ pound butter
- 1 pinch salt
- Ice water
- Good cooking apples
- Butter
- Sugar
- Spice
- Powdered sugar
Method
- 1 Mix flour, butter, and salt until crumbly. Add ice water to form a dough.
- 2 Roll out half the dough and line a pie tin with it.
- 3 Peel, core, and slice apples. Fill the pie shell with apples.
- 4 Dot with butter, sprinkle with sugar and spice, and cover with top crust.
- 5 Bake until golden. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
