Classic Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pound flour
  • ½ pound butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Ice water
  • Good cooking apples
  • Butter
  • Sugar
  • Spice
  • Powdered sugar

Method

  1. 1 Mix flour, butter, and salt until crumbly. Add ice water to form a dough.
  2. 2 Roll out half the dough and line a pie tin with it.
  3. 3 Peel, core, and slice apples. Fill the pie shell with apples.
  4. 4 Dot with butter, sprinkle with sugar and spice, and cover with top crust.
  5. 5 Bake until golden. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
