Citrus Fig Jam

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh figs
  • 2 oranges
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 pound granulated sugar

Method

  1. 1 Juice the oranges and lemons. Finely shred the rind of one orange.
  2. 2 Combine figs, citrus juice, and shredded orange rind in a large pot.
  3. 3 Boil the mixture for 30 minutes until the figs are soft.
  4. 4 Stir in the sugar and boil for another 30 minutes until thickened.
  5. 5 Ladle the hot jam into sterilized jars and seal immediately.
