Citrus And Grape Fruit Sherbet
Ingredients
- Orange rind, grated
- Lemon rind, grated
- Sugar
- Water
- Orange juice
- Lemon juice
- Grape juice
- Sherry
- Assorted fruit, cut into small pieces
Method
- 1 Grate orange and lemon rind into sugar. Add water and stir over heat until sugar dissolves. Boil for 5 minutes, then strain.
- 2 Add cut fruit, orange juice, and lemon juice to the syrup. Let cool completely.
- 3 Stir in grape juice and sherry. Freeze in an ice cream maker, stirring slowly and continuously.
- 4 Once frozen, remove the dasher and repack the can. Let ripen in the freezer for at least 2 hours before serving.
