Citrus And Grape Fruit Sherbet

Ingredients

  • Orange rind, grated
  • Lemon rind, grated
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Orange juice
  • Lemon juice
  • Grape juice
  • Sherry
  • Assorted fruit, cut into small pieces

Method

  1. 1 Grate orange and lemon rind into sugar. Add water and stir over heat until sugar dissolves. Boil for 5 minutes, then strain.
  2. 2 Add cut fruit, orange juice, and lemon juice to the syrup. Let cool completely.
  3. 3 Stir in grape juice and sherry. Freeze in an ice cream maker, stirring slowly and continuously.
  4. 4 Once frozen, remove the dasher and repack the can. Let ripen in the freezer for at least 2 hours before serving.
