Cinnamon Sugar Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- butter the size of an egg
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- sugar and cinnamon for sprinkling
Method
- 1 Sift the baking soda and cream of tartar with the flour.
- 2 Mix the sugar, butter, egg, and milk in the usual way.
- 3 Combine wet and dry ingredients, then pour into a shallow pan.
- 4 Sprinkle the top with sugar and cinnamon.
- 5 Bake for about 15 minutes in a moderate oven (350°F).
