Cinnamon Sugar Cake

Ingredients

• 1 cup granulated sugar
• butter the size of an egg
• 1 egg
• 1 cup milk
• 2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
• ½ teaspoon baking soda
• sugar and cinnamon for sprinkling

Method

1. 1 Sift the baking soda and cream of tartar with the flour.
2. 2 Mix the sugar, butter, egg, and milk in the usual way.
3. 3 Combine wet and dry ingredients, then pour into a shallow pan.
4. 4 Sprinkle the top with sugar and cinnamon.
5. 5 Bake for about 15 minutes in a moderate oven (350°F).
