Cinnamon Sour Apple Bread Pudding With Cream
Ingredients
- 1 quart sliced sour apples
- bread crumbs
- sugar
- cinnamon
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- a pinch of salt
- 2 whole eggs
- sugar and cream for serving
Method
- 1 Steam sliced sour apples until soft.
- 2 Layer apples and bread crumbs in a baking dish, sprinkling apples with sugar and cinnamon. Ensure crumbs are on top.
- 3 Beat egg yolk with milk, melted butter, salt, and two well-beaten eggs.
- 4 Pour egg mixture over the apples.
- 5 Bake until milk is absorbed.
- 6 Serve with sugar and cream.
