Cinnamon Cocoa Sponge Cake
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- ½ cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 ¾ cups flour
- ¼ cup Baker's Cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Method
- 1 Beat egg yolks until light, then add water, vanilla, and sugar; beat thoroughly.
- 2 Sift flour with baking powder, cocoa, and cinnamon, then add to the egg mixture.
- 3 Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
- 4 Bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 25 to 30 minutes.
