Cinnamon Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup syrup
- 6 tablespoons shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Method
- 1 Cream together the brown sugar, syrup, shortening, and egg.
- 2 Mix in the cocoa, milk, baking powder, flour, and cinnamon to form a dough.
- 3 Roll out the dough, cut into shapes, and bake in a 350°F oven for 8 minutes.
- 4 Cool the cookies and cover with a damp cloth for 3 minutes to soften.
- 5 Store in an airtight container.
