Cinnamon Butter Shortbread Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 5 tablespoons milk
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups flour plus extra as needed
Method
- 1 Beat sugar and butter together until creamy. Add eggs and milk, mixing well.
- 2 In a separate bowl, whisk together baking powder, cinnamon, and 2 cups of flour.
- 3 Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, adding more flour as needed to form a stiff dough.
- 4 Roll the dough thin on a floured surface and cut into desired shapes.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) quickly until lightly browned.
