Cinnamon Applesauce
Ingredients
- 1/2 apple, cut in quarters
- 1/4 cup water
- sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon (optional)
Method
- 1 Wash apples and cut into quarters. Peeling is optional but will reduce fiber.
- 2 Combine apples and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
- 3 Simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes until apples are tender, stirring occasionally.
- 4 Stir in sugar and heat until dissolved.
- 5 Stir in cinnamon before serving if desired.
