Chopped Date And Ginger Spread
Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 2 tbsp preserved ginger, chopped
- 1 tbsp syrup from preserved ginger jar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Method
- 1 Chop the dates and preserved ginger finely.
- 2 Moisten the mixture with the syrup from the ginger jar and lemon juice.
- 3 Cook the mixture briefly until softened and combined.
- 4 Spread between slices of bread or lady-fingers to serve.
