Chocolate Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- Pinch of salt
- 1 ½ squares Baker's Chocolate
- 2 level tablespoons flour
- 2 egg yolks
- 5 level tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Method
- 1 Heat milk, salt, and chocolate in a double boiler until hot and smooth.
- 2 Mix flour with a little cold milk to thin, then stir into the hot milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Continue cooking for 8-10 minutes.
- 3 Whisk egg yolks and sugar together. Slowly pour the hot milk mixture over the eggs, stirring constantly.
- 4 Return the mixture to the double boiler and cook, stirring constantly, for one minute.
- 5 Remove from heat. Once cool, stir in vanilla.
