Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ squares Baker's Chocolate
  • 2 level tablespoons flour
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 5 level tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

  1. 1 Heat milk, salt, and chocolate in a double boiler until hot and smooth.
  2. 2 Mix flour with a little cold milk to thin, then stir into the hot milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Continue cooking for 8-10 minutes.
  3. 3 Whisk egg yolks and sugar together. Slowly pour the hot milk mixture over the eggs, stirring constantly.
  4. 4 Return the mixture to the double boiler and cook, stirring constantly, for one minute.
  5. 5 Remove from heat. Once cool, stir in vanilla.
