Chocolate Meringue Frosting
Ingredients
- 1 egg white
- 8 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 square chocolate (approx. 1 oz)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
- 1 In a bowl, stir the egg white and powdered sugar together until smooth. Do not whip the egg white.
- 2 Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl or teacup and melt it over a saucepan of simmering water (bain-marie) until fully melted.
- 3 Stir the melted chocolate and vanilla into the sugar mixture until combined. Spread immediately onto cake.
