Chocolate Meringue Cookies With Flour

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce chocolate, melted
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¾ cup sifted flour
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Butter, for greasing pans

Method

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 300°F. Line three baking sheets with parchment paper and lightly grease with butter. Dust lightly with powdered sugar.
  2. 2 Beat egg yolks with ½ cup powdered sugar until light and firm. Stir in the melted chocolate.
  3. 3 Beat egg whites to stiff peaks. Sift flour over the whites and gently fold into the yolk mixture until just combined.
  4. 4 Drop teaspoonfuls of batter onto prepared sheets. Sprinkle tops with powdered sugar.
  5. 5 Bake for 14-15 minutes until set. Cool completely before serving.
