Chocolate Meringue Cookies With Flour
Ingredients
- 1 ounce chocolate, melted
- 4 eggs, separated
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ¾ cup sifted flour
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Butter, for greasing pans
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 300°F. Line three baking sheets with parchment paper and lightly grease with butter. Dust lightly with powdered sugar.
- 2 Beat egg yolks with ½ cup powdered sugar until light and firm. Stir in the melted chocolate.
- 3 Beat egg whites to stiff peaks. Sift flour over the whites and gently fold into the yolk mixture until just combined.
- 4 Drop teaspoonfuls of batter onto prepared sheets. Sprinkle tops with powdered sugar.
- 5 Bake for 14-15 minutes until set. Cool completely before serving.
