Chocolate Ice Cream With Whipped Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 bar chocolate, grated
  • 1 pint milk
  • sugar to taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch cinnamon
  • 2 pints heavy cream, divided

Method

  1. 1 Grate the chocolate and place it in a double boiler with the milk. Stir over heat until hot and the chocolate is melted.
  2. 2 Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Allow the mixture to cool completely.
  3. 3 Pour the cooled mixture into an ice cream freezer and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  4. 4 Once frozen, remove the dasher and gently stir in the remaining pint of heavy cream that has been whipped to stiff peaks.
