Chocolate Ice Cream With Whipped Cream
Ingredients
- 1 bar chocolate, grated
- 1 pint milk
- sugar to taste
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch cinnamon
- 2 pints heavy cream, divided
Method
- 1 Grate the chocolate and place it in a double boiler with the milk. Stir over heat until hot and the chocolate is melted.
- 2 Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Allow the mixture to cool completely.
- 3 Pour the cooled mixture into an ice cream freezer and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 4 Once frozen, remove the dasher and gently stir in the remaining pint of heavy cream that has been whipped to stiff peaks.
