Chocolate Fudge Hearts
Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup condensed milk
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1.5 squares Baker's Chocolate
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
- 1 Boil sugar, milk, and water to 236°F (soft-ball stage), stirring gently.
- 2 Add butter and boil vigorously, then remove from heat and stir in chocolate.
- 3 Let stand undisturbed until cool, then add vanilla and beat until thickened.
- 4 Pour into a paper-lined pan and cool until firm enough to cut.
- 5 Cut into shapes using a French cutter or sharp tube.
