Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Fondant Candies
Ingredients
- 1 cup fondant
- Peppermint essence
- Green or pink color paste (optional)
- 2 ounces chocolate
- 1 teaspoon boiling water
Method
- 1 Melt a small amount of fondant and flavor with peppermint essence. Tint with color paste if desired.
- 2 Drop the flavored fondant mixture onto waxed paper in 1.25-inch rounds. Let stand in a cool place for 1 hour.
- 3 Melt 1 cup fondant with chocolate and boiling water in a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
- 4 Dip each peppermint into the chocolate mixture and place on oil cloth. Let stand until the chocolate sets.
