Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Cream Candies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • Peppermint extract or oil
  • 1 ounce chocolate, melted
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Method

  1. 1 Combine sugar and cream in a saucepan. Boil until the mixture holds together and can be rolled into a ball in cold water.
  2. 2 Remove from heat and stir in peppermint flavoring. Continue stirring until the mixture stiffens enough to mold.
  3. 3 Dust hands with powdered sugar. Roll the mixture into small balls, about the size of hazelnuts.
  4. 4 Dip each ball into melted chocolate using a long pin or fork. Place on paraffin paper to set.
