Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Cream Candies
Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cream
- Peppermint extract or oil
- 1 ounce chocolate, melted
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Method
- 1 Combine sugar and cream in a saucepan. Boil until the mixture holds together and can be rolled into a ball in cold water.
- 2 Remove from heat and stir in peppermint flavoring. Continue stirring until the mixture stiffens enough to mold.
- 3 Dust hands with powdered sugar. Roll the mixture into small balls, about the size of hazelnuts.
- 4 Dip each ball into melted chocolate using a long pin or fork. Place on paraffin paper to set.
