Chocolate Custard Souffle

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 oz powdered sugar
  • 2 oz butter
  • 1 oz grated chocolate
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 egg whites

Method

  1. 1 Mix cornstarch with milk until smooth. Stir in powdered sugar and butter.
  2. 2 Cook over heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture boils. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. 3 Stir in grated chocolate and egg yolks until perfectly smooth.
  4. 4 Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour into a buttered souffle dish.
  5. 5 Bake for 40 minutes.
