Chocolate Custard Pie
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups water
- ½ cup cocoa
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 pie crust (unbaked)
Method
- 1 Combine water, cocoa, cornstarch, and sugar in a saucepan. Stir until cornstarch is fully dissolved.
- 2 Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- 3 Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Pour the filling into an unbaked pie crust.
- 4 Bake in a slow oven (300°F) for 30 minutes. Let cool completely before slicing.
