Chocolate Custard Layer Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sweet milk
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated chocolate
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • vanilla extract

Method

  1. 1 Dissolve baking soda in hot water.
  2. 2 Heat 1 cup milk and 1/2 cup grated chocolate, stirring until dissolved.
  3. 3 Stir 1 cup sugar and 1 egg yolk into the chocolate mixture, then cool and flavor with vanilla.
  4. 4 Beat butter, 1 cup sugar, milk, flour, eggs, and soda solution together.
  5. 5 Fold the cooled chocolate custard into the cake batter.
  6. 6 Bake in layers, then ice on top and between layers.
