Chocolate Custard Layer Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sweet milk
- 3 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated chocolate
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- vanilla extract
Method
- 1 Dissolve baking soda in hot water.
- 2 Heat 1 cup milk and 1/2 cup grated chocolate, stirring until dissolved.
- 3 Stir 1 cup sugar and 1 egg yolk into the chocolate mixture, then cool and flavor with vanilla.
- 4 Beat butter, 1 cup sugar, milk, flour, eggs, and soda solution together.
- 5 Fold the cooled chocolate custard into the cake batter.
- 6 Bake in layers, then ice on top and between layers.
