Chocolate Covered Roasted Almonds

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound vanilla sweet chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons boiling water
  • almonds

Method

  1. 1 Pour boiling water over almonds and let stand for 2-3 minutes to blanch. Remove skins and roast in the oven.
  2. 2 Melt chocolate in a saucepan over boiling water. Stir in butter and boiling water until smooth. Adjust consistency with more water or chocolate if needed.
  3. 3 Dip roasted almonds in the chocolate mixture and drop onto paraffin paper to set.
