Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- 3 oz semi-sweet chocolate, grated
- 3 large eggs
- 1 ¾ cup sifted pastry flour
- 1 ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two shallow cake pans.
- 2 Grate the chocolate and set aside.
- 3 Beat butter until creamy, then gradually beat in sugar.
- 4 Mix in milk, vanilla, and beaten eggs.
- 5 Add chocolate, then fold in flour mixed with baking powder.
- 6 Pour batter into pans and bake for 25 minutes.
