Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Baker's Cocoa
  • 2 tbsp cold water
  • 3 tbsp hot water
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1 ¾ cups confectioners' sugar
  • a speck of salt

Method

  1. 1 Place cocoa in a small saucepan and add cold water; stir until perfectly smooth.
  2. 2 Add hot water and cook for one to two minutes.
  3. 3 Stir in vanilla and a speck of salt.
  4. 4 Gradually stir in confectioners' sugar until the mixture is stiff enough to spread.
  5. 5 Beat the frosting until smooth, glossy, and free of lumps.
  6. 6 Adjust consistency by adding cold water if too thick or more sugar if too thin.
