Chocolate Bread Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 pint milk
- 0.5 lb stale bread
- 1 oz butter
- 0.25 lb sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 egg whites
Method
- 1 Boil bread in milk, stirring until a thick paste forms.
- 2 Stir in butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla.
- 3 Remove from heat and mix in egg yolks.
- 4 Fold in beaten egg whites until frothy.
- 5 Pour into a buttered dish and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
