Chocolate And Pink Marble Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 eggs, whites and yolks beaten separately
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 square chocolate dissolved in a little hot water
- 1 teaspoon cochineal for coloring
Method
- 1 Beat sugar, butter, egg yolks, milk, flour, and baking powder until smooth.
- 2 Divide batter into three parts. Stir dissolved chocolate into one part.
- 3 Stir cochineal into the second part to create pink batter.
- 4 Drop spoonfuls of white, chocolate, and pink batter alternately into a long tin pan.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until done.
