Chilled Tomato And Green Chile Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, low-sodium, drained
  • 1 (4.5 ounce) can diced green chiles, drained
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Method

  1. 1 Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. 2 In a large bowl, stir together the drained tomatoes, green chiles, green onions, cilantro, lemon juice, pepper, and minced garlic until well mixed.
  3. 3 Cover the bowl and chill for at least 4 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  4. 4 Serve with baked tortilla chips or raw vegetables.
