Chilled Blackberry Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 1 quart fresh blackberries
  • 1 quart cold water
  • 1 slice lemon
  • 1 teaspoon orange water
  • Sugar syrup (white sugar dissolved in hot water, cooled)

Method

  1. 1 Crush the blackberries and pour the cold water over them.
  2. 2 Add the lemon slice and orange water, then let stand for 3-4 hours.
  3. 3 Strain the mixture through a jelly bag or fine sieve.
  4. 4 Sweeten to taste with cooled sugar syrup.
  5. 5 Serve immediately with broken ice or keep chilled on ice.
