Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can boned chicken
  • 1 bread roll, hollowed out
  • Cooked asparagus stalks for garnish

Method

  1. 1 Melt butter in a saucepan. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  2. 2 Gradually whisk in milk. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until thickened.
  3. 3 Stir in the canned chicken, breaking up flakes with a fork. Heat through.
  4. 4 Spoon the mixture into the hollowed bread roll. Garnish with asparagus.
