Chicken Fricassee With Dumplings
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, drawn, singed, and cut
- 1 onion
- 1 small carrot
- 2 stalks celery
- Water, for boiling
Method
- 1 Place the cut chicken in a deep saucepan and cover with boiling water.
- 2 Add the onion, carrot, and celery to the pot.
- 3 Bring to a boil, then cook slowly until the chicken is tender.
- 4 Thicken the gravy. Add dumplings if desired.
